On August 5 this year, at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, commercial banks, local authorities of districts and cities held a video conference on the analysis of the current state of foreign trade by industries and regions.

The event, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Zhamshid Khojaev, considered the current indicators of export activities in the context of regions and industries.

A number of systemic and individual problems faced by domestic enterprises in the process of exports were identified.  The problems were mostly related to difficulties in obtaining credit resources by exporters, lack of necessary engineering infrastructure in the field, obtaining necessary export permits, taxation issues, in particular, refund of previously paid amounts of value added tax, finding foreign customers, and other aspects.

The responsible leaders who participated in the meeting were tasked to intensify targeted interaction with exporters at the level of regions, districts, cities and mahallas to promptly identify emerging issues, develop specific solutions and provide constant feedback to entrepreneurs to monitor the production and export activities.

A comprehensive analysis was conducted on all issues raised, based on the results of which the heads of relevant organizations were instructed to take effective measures to address them as soon as possible.
